2008 Results
Ragin’ on the River Final Results:
1.5 Litre: Brandon Kennedy in the T-1 swept the weekend in 1.5 Litre Stock over Jimmy McMullen in the T-5 with Brady Bradford third in the T-3.
1 Litre was a sweep too for Keith McMullen in the Y-80. 2nd overall was Ken McMullen's Y-81 with drivers Jimmy McMullen and Mike Pumphrey. Third was Doug Simpson in the Y-126.
2.5 Litre: Stock overall winner was Brandon Kennedy in the S-702 for Dane Dewees. Kennedy won Saturday's final in a hot start from lane five. Jimmy McMullen in the S-76 was second overall with Kenny Walton in the S-999 third overall. A call out to Doug Martin who won Sunday's final. The S-33 looked in top form as it did a couple of seasons back.
Jersey Speed Skiff: Overall was winner was the JS-99 with Dave Greenlaw, Kenny Walton, & David Greenlaw. The veteran Greenlaw drove first on Saturday but a hard hit on the water and sore shoulder. Kenny Walton was called to duty to drive the remainder of the weekend. Jimmie Stewart & Peg Ewancio was second overall in the JS-721 with Tom Pakradooni & Billy Sewell third overall in the JS-712.
National Modified was all Tony Black in the NM-928 scoring four wins for the weekend. Amy Brockson was second overall in the NM-370 with Steve Short in the NM-17 third overall.
5 Litre: In the 5 Litre Leonard Outlaw III in the E-310 is the Maryland Cup Winner as the only E boat to make all three legs. After a bit of ballast LE re-registered as a National Mod and all had fun there having reaped the benefits of a NM legal start. Regardless Port Deposit Ragin' on the River Committee and the Port Deposit Chamber of Commerce paid tow money to all that attended.
Rubber Ducky was the only one with Jim Coan's lone GNH-869 registered this weekend.
Maryland Cup Results: Beings that Port Deposit is the final leg in the accumulation of points from the Cambridge, Kent Island and Port Deposit races the Maryland Cup was awarded as follows:
