It is planned to redevelop the 1,200 acre site (Previously the US Naval Training Center) known as  Bainbridge into a mixed used LEED-certified community combining residential and commercial uses with recreation, civic and public uses. 

Bainbridge will be a master-planned modern village right off I-95 in the heart of the East Coast ideally located between Baltimore and Philadelphia providing a unique variety of residential product for a minimum of 1,250 households and commercial opportunities utilizing a wide array of transportation modes on 300+ acres. Shopping and retail facilities are planned for the village.

This will be a pedestrian friendly environmentally conscious community geared toward families, with recreational amenities including hiking and biking trails, ball fields, swimming, a community center for senior and youth programs, and a river club.

There will be educational facilities consisting of public schools, a library and four year academic institution.

An adaptive re-use of the refurbished historic Tome School is planned, and the stabilization of these beautiful granite buildings has begun.

All this - only a “stone’s throw” from the Susquehanna River.
